Happy new year from Costa Rica to everybody!
Right now we have only few days left in this awesome paradise so it is time to write something more about it.
As Peter mentioned before we came to Turrialba and than we did little surfing in Puerto Viejo at the Atlantic side.
After that we moved to north to Sarrapique where we spent Christmast as well.
Watter was quite low but still ok for few rivers. As a star we run river Sucio which has very brown/orange water because of vulcano which it flows from.
Next step was the waterfall Pozo Azul. It was nice easy waterfall about 12 meters. Guys did few laps on it.
Christmas we spent out of water and went to reptiles farm.
After few days and few other rivers we decided to move to location of Quepos.
It is awesome place because it is on the Pacific coast so after paddling the rivers you still could go to swim to the ocean. Guys run the Chirripo Pacifico and some other rivers as wel but my favourite one was the Naranjo labyrinth. Nice river in beautiful scennery with one tricky part which I had to portaged and climbed down on the rope with my kayak :)
Funny part was the surfing again. Everybody improved their skills from last time and you could finally see some serrious surfing.
31th December we spent by surfing and relaxing on the beach. Peter got attacked by raya to his feet but it was nothing serious :)
Next day we moved back to Turrialba. We run Upper upper Pacuare which was nice easy section. Next plan was to do the muliday trip on Chirripo Atlantico river. This section is the most difficult white water in Costa Rica. I decided to not go and do shuttle for guys. Right now they are on the river and tommorrow I will pick them up. I hope everything is ok and looking forward for their stories from the river.
