Corsica trip. My first trip to Corsica was 17 years ago. I was too young so my friends better asked for my mom permission. It was really awesome trip and it stayed in my heard as one of my most favorite destination. Since that I wanted to go back. We are already back home from amazing Ecuador, sorting all photos and videos and all memories are coming back to us.  This trip was very special to me. It was my first time in Ecuador, first time without my son for two weeks! I run some difficult rivers (difficult for me of course), which I wouldn't run before. I even swam out of my kayak, it was after very long time. I was traveling with bus at 4040 meters above sea. That was unbelievable!  All this trip was a such a good experience. Hurley’s kayak event is one of the oldest kayaks event. This year it was 27th year in a row! I've been at this event few times but it seems every year it's going bigger and bigger. This time there were more than 160 competitors just in freestyle! That is totally awesome and I am glad to see tat freestyle is still alive at least in UK. We came to UK in advance. The water levels for Hurley’s weir wasn't optimal so we moved to Nottingham to HPP. I really enjoyed paddling at HPP because it has nice stabile deep hole where…

 This weekend there was probably one of the last freestyle event for us. Summer just end so the freestyle season. I never was paddling in Cracow so this was a great opportunity for it. We came two days in advance to get use to this specific hole. I can say it is quite difficult and very powerful to paddle. It took me few trainings to find best way how to throw the moves. One of our favorites play spots and also competitions of the year is in Graz. The local kayakers are so enthusiastic and really loving the sport, so they always made such a nice events where you just feel great. It's not only about competition but also about meeting all the friends and have really good time while kayaking. To get ready we left a bit earlier for some training. Lipno area is well known amongst  paddlers from around whole world because of its white water. Water is released from dam and it is runable only by high flow which happens few times a year. Last week we and hundreds of other paddlers headed to Lipno Dam area. Water was released whole week but weekend was special as they put even more water out to river. Vltava’s section from Lipno dam is probably one of my most favorite whit water river section.The atmosphere there is amazing as well! I don’t like many people on the water at the same time but…

Lienz is one of my favorite place in Austria. It is situated in a valley surrounded by glorious mountains. Me and Peter we visited it almost every year since 2005. It is well known amongst paddlers for its whitewater rivers but it hosted some international freestyle events like European Championships as well. The playspot on Drau river was rebuilt this winter because high water moved some stones and destroyed it. Now it is a very strong hole with two shoulders. We did one training on Friday. Last week me and Peter, we organized a kayaking event with freestyle, cross and sprint races, which was part of a festival at our slalom course. It was the fourth year in a row that we organized this event and we were able to compete in freestyle as well. It was nice small event where everybody had a chance to paddle and show their best. Last week we spent in Wildalpen, Austria. Many kayakers know this place for it's great river Salza. But not many know that it has one of the best hole for freestyle kayaking. Of course the river has to have right level as for everything but when it does than it is just perfect! Every year Helli-Welli host austrian's freestyle kayaking event. This year Europeans took a place in Plattling, Germany. Plattling is well known among paddlers for its consist and wide hole. In 2011 Plattling hosted World Championship.  We use to go there more often as it is not that far from Slovakia. Competition started at 26 of May. Paddlers were already coming few weeks before. Water levels were low or medium for whole year and few days before it started float came. For while it looked like they have to cancel event but than water dropped and it could started. Peter and I are preparing for upcoming European Championships in Freestyle kayaking which are going to be in the end of May. Most of the time we spend by paddling in holes, training our freestyle routine, improving our tricks and learning new moves or combinations. Plattling is a special hole so we spend a lot of time there. If we are not there we train in Slovakia- Bratislava or Austria- Graz. As the kayaking season has started we parked out our camper from garage and spend most of days in there. It is our second home and it makes traveling way…

ayaking seasson 2016 has started early this year.  Winter wasn't very solid in our part of Europe and now it is looking like spring is coming.  Our first time on the water this year was in early February (last time in 2015 was in December). We have started straight with freestyle in Austria in Graz. The water was cold but with good gear it wasn't a problem to paddle. Last week we went to Plattling.
